The Equity Evolution tab in Fincanva provides a detailed visual analysis of how your capital evolved throughout the simulation period. It’s designed to help you understand your portfolio’s long-term growth, fluctuations, and the impact of various financial factors.


Capital Breakdown Chart

Shows total capital, available cash, and invested capital across time, helping you track allocation shifts and liquidity usage.


Growth Chart

Visualizes how your portfolio's value has changed, highlighting periods of gain or loss.


Cost Breakdown Components Chart

Visualize of different components evolved over time and impacted the performance. You can see

  • Positive Interests
  • Dividends
  • Realized Profit
  • Open Profit
  • Portfolio Contribution
  • Taxation
  • Trading Costs
  • Borrowing/Short Interest
  • Negative Dividends
  • Realized Loss
  • Open Loss

Chart Options

You can apply the following options to the charts (excluding the Cost Breakdown):

  • Logarithmic Scale:
    Use this to better visualize long-term compounding trends without distortion from large changes.

  • Inflation Adjustment:
    Enable this to see real, inflation-adjusted capital values and account for changes in purchasing power.

  • Benchmark Visualization:
    Optionally display a benchmark to compare your portfolio’s performance.
    Note: Not available for the Cost Breakdown chart.


Use the Equity Evolution tab to visualize capital trends, assess compounded growth, and understand the real cost of staying invested over time. It’s a powerful tool for evaluating both performance and realism in your investment strategy.
